About us
Koxy Lifestyle is an independent artist and maker's shop, founded by Eva Thyghøj in 2020. We offer a wide variety of high-quality, handmade work, with new and unique pieces always arriving. Our shop is run by a collective of over 40 local artists and makers, who not only sell their creations here but also help run the space, creating a special connection between our customers and the creatives behind the work.
Originally from Denmark, Eva moved to the UK over 30 years ago and spent years working in London’s fashion industry before relocating to Bristol, where she designed and made her own clothing. After successfully running a maker’s pop-up shop at Windmill Hill City Farm for several years, Eva felt the pull of South Wales and eventually settled in Chepstow, where Koxy Lifestyle was born.
Our shop is housed in a historic 400-year-old building that once served as a pub, first known as the Ship, and later as the Bridge. Though it’s been closed for the past decade, the rich history—and the friendly ghosts!—remain. Owner & maker Eva Thyghøj, founder of Danish contemporary fashion brand Toohoi is the curator at koxy lifestyle. Synthesising considered, responsible, unique, quality artworks and creations from the most creative artists the nation has to offer. Eva is interviewed by Ziba Z Jones.
Our Policies

Returns must arrive at the store within 30 days of purchase. Any postage required to return the item will not be covered by the store. Refunds will be issued once the item is returned unused and undamaged. A valid physical/email receipt must be presented along with the item, as we will need the transaction number to process the refund.
If you are posting your item to us to be returned, please ensure you ask for proof of postage from your post office. This will enable you to know that we have received your item, as it is your responsibility until it reaches us.
Please note that we are unable to offer returns on earrings and sale items.

You can place an order online to collect from our store. Please allow 24 hours for us to prepare your order for pickup. This time may be longer during busy periods, such as Christmas and school holidays. Collections will only be available during our opening hours, which you can find on our home page.

We aim to reduce our carbon footprint by reusing and recycling packaging materials. We encourage you to embrace this, and enjoy your product inside, knowing that our environmental impact is minimized.
